Delegation from DEM Party visits HQ of Autonomous Administration
A delegation from the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Partî) visited the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in Raqqa to discuss ways to enhance communication between Kurdish parties and unify views on common issues.
As part of efforts to promote dialogue and coordinate efforts to achieve Kurdish and Middle Eastern unity, a delegation from the People's Equality and Democracy Party, headed by the co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (BDP), Keskin Baynder, along with the party’s executive committee member Serhad Arin, and MPs Salha Aydines, Kolcan Kacmaz, and Mohamed Kamaj, visited the headquarters of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Raqqa.
The delegation was received by the co-chairs of the executive council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, Evin Swed and Hussein Othman, the deputy co-chairs.
This visit, which is the first since the liberation of Kobani, aimed to discuss ways to enhance communication between Kurdish parties and unify views on common issues.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed optimism about the success of the recent "Kurdish Unity Position and Rank Conference," emphasizing their continued follow-up on the achievements of the Autonomous Administration in the region, especially in areas of the Autonomous Administration and community security. Both sides also discussed mechanisms to enhance coordination between the various components of Kurdistan, in line with the "Peace Call" philosophy launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which focuses on reviving social diversity and building a free Middle East free from historical divisions.
Keskin Baynder stated, "A Middle East united on freedom is the greatest victory for the peoples of the region. We must overcome the colonial legacy that divided us and begin an inclusive dialogue that includes all components without exclusion."
For her part, Salha Aydines noted that "the spirit of unity has always been present among the people of the region, despite the challenges that previously hindered field visits," expressing hope that these meetings would mark a step toward intensifying cooperation.
The two sides also agreed to continue holding regular meetings and expand the scope of dialogue to include political and social forces, aiming to achieve a common vision that strengthens regional stability.
The delegation is scheduled to tour and visit the Internal Security Forces leadership and the Women's Protection Units center in the Raqqa Canton to observe the mechanisms of the security services' work.
