ANHA correspondent, citing local sources, reported that warplanes carried out three airstrikes on the northwestern outskirts of Al-Sukhnah in the eastern countryside of Homs, amid intensive warplane activity over the area.

According to preliminary information, the strikes targeted the vicinity of Jabal al-Dahik and the nearby desert. Other reports indicated that sites in the Om Siyort area and surrounding parts of the desert were also targeted. No information has so far emerged on the extent of the human or material losses.

Local sources suggested that the aircraft conducting the strikes belonged to the international coalition, as intensive air activity continued over Al-Sukhnah and its surroundings.

The strikes came amid continued aerial activity over the city of Palmyra and parts of the Syrian desert, following similar flights in recent days that were accompanied by strikes targeting sites believed to have been used by ISIS in the Al-Sukhnah desert and Jabal al-Amour.
