Popular Mobilization Forces: Despite Turkish bombing, Yazidi families continue to return to Şengal district

The deputy commander of Ninevah operations confirmed to the Popular Mobilization Forces that, despite the Turkish bombing of Şengal district, Yazidi families are returning to the district.

The deputy commander of the Ninevah Operations of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Shaya al-Dawoody, spoke to Roj News Agency about the latest developments taking place in the Ninevah and the Şengal district, including Turkish bombing , the return of the displaced , and the pursuit of ISIS mercenary.

Al-Dawoody said that: "Turkish bombardment occurs from time to time in Şengal district, especially in the mountain area, and despite that, the displaced Yazidi families continue to return to the area, as the rate of return of the displaced has reached 40%."

Al-Dawoody indicated that the goal of pursuing ISIS mercenaries is to "secure the sector from all its axes and the absence of any significant breach in the future, in addition to the operations continuing to establish security and safety in the region as is the case now, and we haven't seen yet any significant breach in the areas sectors of Nineveh."
