​​​​​​​SDC calls for Syrian dialogue

On Wednesday, SDC issued a statement to the public opinion, during a press conference held in the hall of the External Relations Department of AANES in the city of Qamishlo.

The statement was read by the co-chair of SDC, Amina Omar.

The text of the statement read:

" On the twelfth anniversary of the Syrian revolution that started in the city of Daraa in the south of the country, a revolution that began with a peaceful demonstration and spread across the country, against the tyrannical central oppression regime, where the Syrians surprised the world in ending chains of persecution, demanding With freedom and dignity."

The Syrian revolution was diverted from its course, and was directed to serve interests and agendas that have nothing to do with the aspirations and dreams of the Syrians."

"We in SDC salute the courage and sacrifice of Syrian women and men, and their steadfastness in the face of tyranny and occupation, and we affirm our complete siding with the Syrian people in all its components in their demand for freedom and dignity."

"We call on all patriots and loyalists to national unity that were manifested in the will of the Syrians to overcome the factors of division and dissonance during the disaster of the earthquake, that will was curbed by the political agendas, Which clearly showed the separation of tyranny and the projects of the Turkish occupation from the reality, tragedies and pains of the Syrian people, as the difficulty of the stage that the Syrians are going through and the fears of wasting their sacrifices necessitate us to work together to enhance the authentic political expression of the Syrian people’s revolution and aspirations, and to overcome the fabricated political differences that result from Regional and international interests that do not concern the Syrians and do not represent them."

"We in the Syrian Democratic Council, as we call on the international community to stand by the Syrians in achieving their rightful demands for democratic and radical change and the achievement of peace, security and dignity. We call on all active national democratic forces to take part in a Syrian dialogue in order to establish a new future vision for Syria."

The statement concluded by saying  " Sacrifices of our martyrs and detainees won't be wasted, but remain a guide and a torch for us."
