Beginning with the Syrian issue, Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper said: “Israel did not issue an official statement acknowledging the missile attack that targeted, early Sunday morning, a security complex close to Iranian facilities in the Kafr Sousse neighborhood in the center of the Syrian capital, Damascus, which is under strict security control. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implicitly acknowledged, during the weekly government session, that the raid was "a response to the Iranian drone attack on an oil tanker owned by an Israeli businessman in the Gulf waters, a week ago."

The military commentator in the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, Ron Ben-Yishai, wrote, “If this was an Israeli raid; It comes in response to Iran's bombing of the aforementioned ship.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the bombing killed 15 people, 9 of whom were of Syrian nationality, including civilians and 7 soldiers, while the identities of the other 6 dead are still unknown.

The SOHR indicated that Israeli missiles targeted sites including Iranian militias and the Lebanese “Hezbollah”, in an area located between Sayyidah Zainab and Diabiya in the countryside of Damascus, which resulted in fires and explosions, and also targeted an Iranian area and school in Kafr Sousa, which resulted in the destruction of a building and losses mankind.

The correspondent of the French Press Agency reported that there was damage to a residential building consisting of about ten floors in Kafr Sousse, after the shelling mainly affected its entrance.

Reports also spoke of the destruction of a number of civilian homes, and the occurrence of material damage in some neighborhoods in and around Damascus. The Director General of Antiquities and Museums reported that there was damage to buildings belonging to the ancient Damascus Citadel.
