5 killed, 7 injured in 4 security incidents in Idlib, Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor

Several areas of Idlib, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor witnessed security and criminal incidents on Thursday night that left a number of people dead and injured, including children, amid local tensions and disputes.

In the Idlib countryside, a woman and her husband were seriously injured and fell into comas after a relative, accompanied by several people, raided their home in the town of Bab al-Hawa, reportedly over a dispute whose cause remains unclear. Children inside the home were also beaten, according to the information available. Those involved fled the scene following the incident.

In the village of Merten in the Idlib countryside, two children were killed and two others injured after a grenade was thrown through a chimney opening into a house. The identities of those responsible and the motives behind the incident remain unclear.

In the village of Al-Kashma in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, a young man was killed and two others injured after a dispute between two families escalated into an armed clash, amid tensions in the area.

In Aleppo city, a man was killed in the Jisr al-Hajj area following a dispute with his friend over the trade of illicit materials. According to the information available, the suspect then dumped the victim’s body near the railway tracks. Security forces later arrested him.
