Winter clothing prices in Syrian markets have risen by around 30 percent with the launch of the new season, amid higher production, raw material, fuel, tax, and fee costs. The increase has prompted more families to cut back on purchases and turn to second-hand clothing markets as purchasing power declines.

Wheat farmers in the Jazira warned of the repercussions of delays in paying their dues, along with rising fuel and production-input costs, on the upcoming agricultural season.
