1st celebration of Newroz in al-Tabqa

The ceremony was held in the Sports City of al-Tabqa, with the participation of hundreds of residents, representatives of the Civil Administration, military councils, political parties, civil councils, the Revolutionary Youth and the Young Woman in the city.

The celebration presenters Berivan Dudekh and Amer Anad welcomed  the attendees, then invited them to hold for a minute of silence in remembrance of the martyrs' souls.

After that, several speeches were given on behalf of the Civil Administration of al-Tabqa, the Council of Martyrs' Families, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Future Syria Party and the Young Woman.

The words congratulated the peoples of north-east Syria on Newroz, considering it a day of peace and freedom.

After that, several artistic performances were presented from the Arab, Kurdish and Circassian heritage by groups from different regions such as al-Tabqa, Raqqa and al-Jazira, which are: Dora Al-Furat and Circassian Troupe, Avesta Khabour Troupe, Dabkeh Folk Troupe, and the artists Al-Malek Al-Yatem, Mennat Allah, Atallah, and the artist Salman."

It is worth mentioning that it is the first time the people of al-Tabqa have celebrated Newroz.
