Despite attacks, Ain Issa people, Girê Spî displaced celebrate Newroz

The celebration, which was held in the central district public park, was organized by the Culture Committee of the Girê Spî Canton Council.

The celebration began with a speech delivered by the Co-chair of the district council, Leyla Mesho, who welcomed all attendees and blessed Newroz Day to all the peoples of north and east Syria.

While the spokesman for the Revolutionary Youth Movement in Girê Spî canton, Buzan Berkel, saluted the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) that are defending the district by confronting the attempts of the Turkish occupier to seize more Syrian lands.

After that, the martyrs' mothers lit Newroz torch amid the chants of the audience and slogans marking this occasion, and then several artistic performances of folk singing, dances and folkloric Dabkeh presented by Kolava Troupe of the Culture and Art Committee in Kobani canton, Tel Abyad Children Troupe, and the Struggling Mothers Group in Girê Spî  canton.

Since yesterday, Ain Issa district and its countryside have been being subjected to a barbaric attack by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries with heavy weapons, during which a child from Al-Hadriyat village of the district was martyred and 4 other civilians were wounded.

While the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to repel the infiltration attempt by the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries on the district, inflicting loss of life and equipment on them.
