Lavrov reveals date of next Astana meeting

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that the meetings of Astana will be held in mid-February, and again waved Idlib's stick against Turkey, where he said " there is a hotbed of terrorism in Idlib."

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the upcoming meeting between Russia, Turkey and Iran on Syria in Astana would be held in mid-February.

He added, "Without a doubt, we highly appreciate the efforts of our friends to hold high-level international meetings everywhere."

He noted, "There is still a real focus for terrorists in Idlib."

There were frequent statements by Russian officials in which they expressed their displeasure at the procrastination of Erdogan's government to implement the Idlib agreement .

In this regard Al-Arab newspaper said, "Idlib is forming a strong Russian pressure on Turkey, especially since the latter made a grave mistake by allowing Jabhat al-Nusra to control the whole of northwestern Syria."
