Saleh Muslim: people uprising in Başûr expresses unity of Kurdish ranks

This came in a statement by the official spokesman of the Democratic Union Party, Saleh Muslim, posted on the official website of the party, commenting on the uprising of the people in Başûr Kurdistan in the face of the Turkish occupation.

The statement said:

"Turkey's ruling tyrant has been arrogant in its tyranny against the Kurdish people in hostility that history has never witnessed as an example of brutality after the reunification of the fascist Turkish forces at home and failed attempts to shed its terrorist tools on the Kurdish people in the north, west and south of Kurdistan. Their predecessors in the early twentieth century of extermination of the indigenous peoples of Mesopotamia, began to intervene directly with the ground and air forces and tools of modern warfare derived from NATO, and before the eyes of the world and, the expansion and occupation and genocide of the Kurdish people everywhere, Afrin and al-Shahba to occupy northern and eastern Syria, and did not stop one day of launching air attacks on southern Kurdistan(Başûr).

Three years ago, Turkish shelling of southern Kurdistan and its occupation of some border areas and the government of the region remained silent in the face of all attacks, despite the killing of dozens of civilians and the destruction of residential areas, as if those who martyred and destroyed their homes are not citizens in the region and in a sovereign state and they even have not issued statements condemning these blatant attacks on their citizens who have suffered in the region, as happened in Mekhmour and in Dirlok recently.

The uprising of our Kurdish people is a holy uprising that stems from the originality of the Kurdish people, which does not accept humiliation. The occurrence of this uprising in the anniversary of the liberation of Kobanî gives it the meaning of the unity of the Kurdish rank and its historical resistance in the face of the Turkish aggression.

The Democratic Union Party (PYD)expresses its solidarity with the uprising of our people in the south and reminds of the need to unify the Kurdish people in the face of the Turkish aggression and its terrorist tools in Syria, Iraq and the entire Middle East.

The party also calls on all the people of Mesopotamia peoples and their democratic forces to support the Kurdish people in the south in their struggle against the enemies of the peoples."
