Iranian official: We can expand range of ballistic missiles

A senior official of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said on Monday that Iran has the ability to manufacture ballistic missiles with a wider range.

Reuters quoted from the General Amir Ali Haji that the Iranian missiles are currently covering the range of 2000 km (1,240 miles) and many of the "bases of the enemy."

Haji Zada said, according to Iran's Fars news agency, "Iran has the capability to make missiles with a wider range," and added, "We have no technical limitations in terms of the range of the missiles."

The General Amir Ali Haji Zada is an Iranian military commander and the commander of the Air-Space Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard.

Last month, Haji Zada said that the US bases in Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the US aircraft carriers in the Gulf were within range of Iranian missiles.

It is worth mentioning that the US President Donald Trump withdrawn from the international agreement on Iran's nuclear program in May and re-imposed sanctions on Tehran saying, "The deal was flawed because it did not include restrictions on Iran's development of ballistic missiles."
