Al-Arab: US patrols northeast of Syria to deter Turkey from targeting the Kurds

Al-Arab newspapers published this week about the Syrian issue several topics, the most important of which was the American and Turkish movements in north and east Syria. In this context, al-Arab newspaper reported on Sunday that patrols in north-east of Syria near the border with Turkey appeared in a message of deterrence to Ankara which had launched in the last days a shilling on the sites of the Kurdish People Protection Units in the vicinity of Kobani and Tel Abyed, and the spokesman of the International Alliance led by Washington, Shaun Rayn, assured the conduct of "American patrols" in the area "irregularly" as its pace associated with the development of " field conditions", as he said. Rayn also said that this patrol is the second that has been running in the area since Friday."

Al-Hayat: Ankara ignores the American presence and continues to bomb Kurdish areas

Al-Arab: Ankara is losing its bet on changing Washington's position on Syria's Kurds

Al-Arab newspaper quoted from Kurdish political circles saying, "The optimism that has emerged over the past few days regarding the gradual return of the Turkish-American relations which were translated into taking steps towards the implementation of the Manbij agreement, and before it, the release of the American priest Andrew Brunson and what that resulted in of mutual lifting of sanctions between the two countries began to recede again after the American side showed its adherence to support its Kurdish partners in Syria."

The press added, "In recent days, the Turkish military harassment in the areas of the Kurdish People Protection Units in the east of the Euphrates has been linked to the US' conducting patrols on the Turkish-Syrian border, while an American confirmation stated that the violation of the area and the controlling organization is red line.

Al-Hayat: Damascus accuses "terrorist organizations" of breaking the Idlib truce

The newspaper said, "Yesterday, Damascus accused what it described as terrorist organizations of the violation of the Russian-Turkish agreement in the city of Idlib and its surroundings (north-west of Syria), with the continuation of mutual bombardment between the forces of the Syrian regime and the armed factions in the demilitarized zone, which the agreement provides for its implementation."

Al-Sharq al-Awsat (Middle East): Moscow: The terrorist escalation in Idlib hampers the implementation of Sochi agreement

Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper said that Moscow has stepped up its rhetoric about the activities of the strict factions in Idlib and accused them of obstructing the implementation of the Russian-Turkish agreement to establish a demilitarized zone. In conjunction of the critics of the Russian Foreign Ministry to Jabhet al-Nusra and its alliance factions, the Ministry of Defense has talked about the continuous escalation has been witnessed in the city of Idlib in the last two weeks, and Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has strongly criticized the terrorists who obstruct the implementation of Sochi agreement, and pointed to daily provocations that the area is witnessing.

Moscow has avoided to criticize Turkey which has undertaken commitments to push the Syrian opposition to implement the deal. The Kremlin has repeatedly said that Ankara has made a great effort to implement the agreement.

Al-Arab: Preserving Idlib agreement is a Russian-Turkish need that runs counter to Iran's interests in Syria

In the same context, Al-Arab newspaper said, "Al-Izza army accused the Iranian Revolutionary Guards of being behind the attack, amid fears that there is an intention of Iran to escalate the situation in Syria under the pressure of the US facing it, the latest of which was the sanctions targeting the vital oil sector of its economy on November 4, and these violations reflect the reality of the rejection of the regime and its tolerance of Idlib agreement, and its partnership with Iran which is not a party in the agreement unlike Russia and Turkey which insist on the need to maintain Idlib agreement despite the difficulties in its implementation on the ground.

Al-Hayat: "SDF" arrests leader of "IS"

In another Syrian case, al-Hayat newspaper said that SDF said in a statement that its anti-terrorist units managed on Thursday evening with the help of the International Alliance's aircraft to arrest one of the leaders of the terrorist IS organization in a special operation near the city of al-Raqqa.
