Demo in Aleppo city demanded Ocalan's freedom

To condemn the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, Democratic Society's Committee Education in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, today, a demonstration attended by hundreds of schoolchildren was organized.

The demonstration was attended by representatives of civic institutions in the neighborhood, teachers and dozens of parents.

During the demonstration, the students raised pictures of Ocalan and the flags of the Education Committee, in addition to banners with", Captivity of Leader is Captivity of all Mankind, We Promise to Liberate Afrin," Written on.

The demonstration was launched in front of Martyr Alan Muhammad School, located in the eastern part of the neighborhood, toward the public streets were heading towards Martyr Destina Square, amidst slogans calling for the freedom of Ocalan.

The participants held a minute of silence there. The Education Committee for the Democratic Society issued a statement to the public, read in Arabic and Kurdish by student Rody Hamo and student Jehan Abdo.

The text of the statement:

"We condemn this heinous plot against the leader of humanity and the legitimate representative of the rights of children, the leader Abdullah Ocalan, this great leader who sacrificed himself for our freedom.

The statement also included pledging to follow the logic and approach of Ocalan to spread peace over the world.

For her part, the administrator in Kongra Star Siham Bilal said that women will continue the path of resistance and struggle until reaching the freedom of Ocalan.

A number of participants in the demonstration expressed their rejection of the isolation imposed on the leader and wished to free Afrin from the grip of terrorism and return it to its true owners.
