Four killed, six injured in collision in Egypt

Four people were killed and six others injured after a truck collided with several vehicles on a highway in Egypt’s Giza province, while Egyptian authorities opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

A collision between a truck and several vehicles occurred today on the Middle Ring Road in Egypt’s Giza province, killing four people and injuring six others, according to Egyptian state media.

Ambulances arrived at the scene after security authorities received a report of the accident. The injured were taken to Al-Badrashin Hospital for treatment, while the bodies of those killed were transferred to the morgue.

Egyptian police detained the truck driver on suspicion of causing the accident, while the Public Prosecution launched an investigation into its circumstances. The relevant authorities cleared the scene of the collision and restored traffic to normal.

The Middle Ring Road connects the ring road surrounding Greater Cairo with the Regional Ring Road.
