The talk of the member of the catholic community and the Syrian Democratic Council of al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo Joseph Qablan came during a statement to Hawar news agency on the importance of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.

'We welcome any dialogue within Syria’

Joseph Qablan said, "All the conferences that took place outside the Syrian territories to solve the Syrian crisis such as Geneva and Astana did not bring any solution to the Syrian people, but all of them were against the people; therefore, we welcome every conference held inside Syria wherever it would be whether in Damascus, Qamişlo, al-Hasakah or even in Idlib and Afrin. We are ready for the dialogue."

The meetings that took place in Damascus are positive

Joseph Qablan said, "What happened in Damascus is a successful and excellent step because the meeting was a meeting held among the Syrians, while all the other conferences and meetings are held outside Syria and the other components are often marginalized. The issue of the Syrian people would be solved only by the people of Syria."

Qablan urged all Syrian components to participate in any conferences or meetings held inside Syria.

The Syrian territories are occupied and this occupation must be removed

Qablan also referred to the Turkish occupation of the Syrian territories and called on the Syrian people to unite against the occupation, "There are occupiers on the Syrian territories, and the people must remove this occupation, and this will happen when the Syrian people are unified, strong, and not with the external, Ottoman or others’ intervention.
