The families of the Imrali detainees, leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omer Hayri Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş—through their lawyers at the Al-Asr Human Rights Office, Rizan Sarica, Raziye Ozturk, Faik Ozgur Erol, and Mazlum Dinç, have submitted a new request to the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with them.

No information has been provided about leader Abdullah Ocalan for the past four years.

It is noteworthy that the last meeting with the leader by his lawyers Rizan Sarıca and Newroz Uysal was on August 7, 2019, and his last communication with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Mohammed Ocalan, which lasted for five minutes before the call was cut off.
