HDP called on Elections Body to take measures against violations

The People's Democratic Party (HDP) said that they had submitted a petition to the Supreme Electoral Commission to take the necessary measures and reduce the violations at a number of polling stations in Persus.

HDP issued a statement on the violations and abuses that took place during the voting processes in the parliamentary and presidential elections.

The text of the statement included, "Our representative in the Supreme Elections Commission Pınar Akdemir presented a petition to the Commission to intervene and take the necessary measures to reduce the violations that took place during the voting in Persus district at Yukari Bostangi Primary School, Hürriyet Elementary School, Suleiman Shah Preparatory and Anadol Secondary School, Anadol Kap Secondary School, Ataturk Primary School and Imam Khatib Secondary School."

Pınar Akdemir, who submitted the petition to the Supreme Electoral Commission, said that armed groups threaten the voters, and that voting is done by collective votes in some centers, and the observers appointed by HDP are expelled. Furthermore, she called for intervening and taking the necessary measures to end these violations.
