Shahoz Hassen: Political freedom is guarantee for success of democracy, elections

The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Shahoz Hassen said, "The political freedom is the guarantee for the success of democracy and elections."

Turkey's early presidential and parliamentary elections launched on Sunday in Turkey and Bakur as 6 candidates are competing for the presidency, while 8 parties are competing for the parliamentary elections.

The former co-chair of the Democratic Peoples’ Party (HDP) and the party's candidate for the presidential elections Salah al-Din Demirtash cast his vote in the prison of Adrneh as he is detained by AKP authorities.

Shahoz Hassen wrote on Twitter website, "The political freedom is the guarantee for the success of the democracy and elections, but in Turkey, elections are held under a state of emergency."

Shahuz Hassan said, "I pay tribute to the Democratic Peoples’ Party and its candidate Mr. Salah al-Din Demirtash."

It is worth mentioning that Salah al-Din Demirtash, the HDP's former co-chair and the candidate for the presidential election wrote on Twitter, "I voted in prison and I am confident that the outcomes would be good."
