14 citizens and journalists were martyred during 23 days since the signing of a agreement between the Turkish state and Iraq.

On August 15, 2024, an agreement was signed between Ankara and Baghdad. After agreement, the attacks of the occupying Turkish state against the people and journalists in NE Syria and Southern Kurdistan escalated. According to official data, 14 citizens and journalists were martyred and 10 others were injured in 23 days since the signing of the agreement.

 Total attacks from August 15, 2024 to September 8, 2024:

* On August 19, 2024, Turkish drone carried out an attack in the area between the Heart and Eye Hospital and the Post Office in the city of Qamishli. The attack led to martyrdom Ismet Unver, the pioneer of the struggle for freedom for 32 years

 * On August 19, 2024, Turkish drone bombed the town of Sherawa in the Afrin and Shahba Cantons. The attack resulted in the injury of citizens Youssef Al-Araj, 27 years old, from the village of Ziarati, and Mustafa Rifat Sheikho, 28 years old, from the village of Meydan Akbas.

 * On August 23, the Turkish occupation state bombed a car carrying free media journalists in the Sayyid Sadiq district of Sulaymaniyah, Southern Kurdistan with a drone. As a result of the attack, journalists Gulistan Tara and Hîro Baha al-Din were martyred, and 6 journalists were injured.

 * On August 28, 2024, an IED exploded near the post office and communications center and the bus garage in the Al-Antariyah neighborhood in the city of Qamishli, resulting in the martyrdom of Khalida Muhammad Sharif (45 years old) and her son Hajar Adnan Suleiman (24 years old).

 * On August 29, the Turkish occupation state bombed the village of Umm Rabie, which is affiliated with the city of Amuda, located on the Amuda-Qamishli road. The bombing resulted in the martyrdom of citizen Hani Khalaf Al-Khalaf and the injury of another citizen.

 * On August 30, 2024, the Turkish occupation army bombed the village of Tal al-Laban in Tal Tamr in the Jazera Canton with artillery shells. The bombing resulted in the injury of citizen Hamed Al-Jassem, 30 years old.

 * On September 3, 2024, a drone belonging to the Turkish occupation state targeted a vehicle of the Internal Security Forces in the Um Al-Fursan neighborhood in the city of Qamishli. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of the administrator of the Internal Security Forces in Qamishli, Djwar Qamishli.

 * On September 3, 2024, the Turkish occupation state bombed the village of Mirkhush and Bariyeh Sanin, which is affiliated with the town of Sidakan in the Bradost region in Southern Kurdistan; the attack resulted in the martyrdom of citizen Badi Kamal.

* On September 4, 2024, Turkish occupation drones bombed a car on the border of Dokan district in Sulaymaniyah province. As a result, citizen Muzaffar Hussein Khader, nicknamed Muzaffar Muzo, and his two sons, Muhammad and Mubin, were martyred.

 * On September 5, 2024, Turkish occupation drones bombed a car in the Jwarta area of Sulaymaniyah city. As a result, citizen Burhan Saeed, 38, and his two children were martyred.
