Widespread attack on Muslim Brotherhood in Jordanian Parliament
A number of Jordanian parliamentarians launched a fierce attack on the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates in the country. A representative from the National Union Party called on the Jordanian government to suspend the membership of representatives from the Islamic Action Front Party if they did not announce their complete separation from the Brotherhood. He also called for banning the group, any of its activities, and any entities affiliated with it.

The Jordanian parliament today urged "cleansing the national path of all impurities" in its first session after the arrest of the "sabotage cell."
A number of Jordanian parliamentarians launched a fierce attack on the Muslim Brotherhood and what they described as the Islamic Action Front Party, which is affiliated with it. They asserted that "the confessions of the terrorist cell prove its involvement with the Brotherhood."
The parliamentarians warned against the Brotherhood organization, noting that it "has declared its allegiance to foreign powers." They also called on the Islamic Action Front to abandon its allegiance to the Muslim Brotherhood.
MP Zuhair al-Khashman, representing the National Union Party, called on the government to "suspend the membership of Islamic Action Front MPs if they do not issue a clear statement of condemnation and declare their complete separation from the Muslim Brotherhood." He also called for a ban on the group, any of its activities, and any entities affiliated with it.
For his part, the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Ahmad al-Safadi, emphasized in his speech that "national unity is too sacred to be tampered with by any spiteful or ungrateful person. It is a red line." He emphasized that "the people of Jordan will not be fooled by these tactics, and that time will pass, and shame and loss will be the fate of every cowardly liar."
Previously, the Jordanian General Intelligence Service announced "the thwarting of plots aimed at undermining national security and inciting chaos and physical destruction within the Kingdom."
The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) reported that "the General Intelligence Department arrested 16 individuals involved in these plots, which the department had been closely monitoring since 2021."
The agency added that "the plots included manufacturing missiles using local tools and others imported from abroad for illegal purposes, possessing explosives and firearms, concealing a missile ready for use, a project to manufacture drones, and recruiting and training individuals inside the Kingdom and subjecting them to training abroad."
