Turkish occupation's attacks aim to destabilize security, stability in region
The co-chair of the Executive Council in the Manbij region explained that the Turkish occupation's attacks on the area aim to destabilize security and stability and undermine community cohesion. She affirmed that the region's components are aware of these provocations and are ready to defend their areas at any cost.
The Turkish occupying state launched extensive attacks on the regions of North and East Syria, targeting infrastructure and vital facilities, resulting in martyrs, injuries, and destruction of infrastructure, vital facilities, and energy sources.
The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Manbij Canton, Azad al-Aboud, said: "The attacks on the villages of the Manbij Canton, like those on other cities and towns in the North and East Syria region, reflect the mentality of the Turkish occupation and the crimes it commits against the components."
She added: "The people of Manbij and the autonomous administration are aware of the Turkish occupation state's plans to target economic, service, and living facilities, as its goal is to weaken the autonomous administration project, tighten the noose around it, and diminish the popular base. However, it will not succeed in this, because the people are attached to their land and have proven their stance."
She pointed out, "The Turkish occupation is trying to re-colonize the region by implementing the Misak-ı Millî."
She continued: "The beneficiary is also the terrorist organization ISIS/ Daesh, Turkey's ally, which still poses a threat to global peace in general, and these attacks coincide with the international community's preoccupation with the Russia-Ukraine war and the conflict in the city of Gaza."
She explained, "There are always repeated attacks on the regions of North and East Syria, as the Turkish state tries to target the democratic project and create instability and chaos."
