4 mercenaries from ISIS cells arrested in Deir ez-Zor
Four mercenaries from ISIS cells were arrested in the Deir ez-Zor countryside by the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria. The authorities seized explosives and weapons found in their possession.
The media center for the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria reported that the Special Forces (HAT) and the General Security Service conducted a successful operation this morning. The operation resulted in the arrest of four mercenaries associated with ISIS and the confiscation of numerous weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The items seized included:
- Kalashnikov weapon number 2
- 1 hunting rifle
- Kalashnikov magazines number 10
- Bomb number 1
- Kalashnikov ammunition number 112
- RPG weapon packs: 4
- 4 RPG weapon charge projectiles
- 36 packaging processing circuits
- 1 Kalashnikov magazine bag
- Kalashnikov weapon bag number 2
- 2 large explosive devices
- 6 medium-sized explosive devices
