message to Kurdish parties: Our common goal is to achieve Kurdish unity

The spokesperson for the Training Committee of the Kongra Star, Ahin Ali, emphasized the importance of unity among the Kurdish people in facing challenges, as seen during the ISIS attacks on Kobani and the recent assaults. She called on Kurdish parties to overcome differences and stubborn partisan mentalities, and to work toward establishing a joint Kurdish reference.

In her talk with ANHA agency, Ahin emphasized that the main demand of the Kurdish people is unity, especially among political parties, saying: "The issue of the Kurdish people is one, and their demand is unity."

She explained that one of the main obstacles to achieving this unity is the narrow partisan mentality, where some parties operate independently, pointing out the Kurdish National Council's independent approach to Damascus, despite the presence of a joint Kurdish delegation resulting from the Kurdish Unity Conference.

She added that the ideological differences between parties are natural, whether they are liberal, democratic, socialist, or nationalist, but the common goal should be to serve the Kurdish cause and achieve unity.

She also pointed out that the individual actions of the parties hinder the establishment of a Kurdish reference, despite previous attempts such as the National Unity Parties experience, which did not achieve its goals due to the non-participation of some parties.

She affirmed that the will of the Kurdish people was the decisive factor in confronting the recent international conspiracy targeting Rojava, pointing out that the unity of the Kurdish stance, both internally and externally, contributed to repelling the attacks, saying: "Every time the Kurds unite, victory is theirs."
She saw that the convening of the Kurdish Unity Conference was an important step, enabling the Kurds to play a major role in building a democratic Syria, affirming that "building a democratic Syria will be thru Kurdish unity."

Regarding ways to overcome differences, she explained that the stubborn party mentality is no longer effective, calling for adopting political flexibility and working according to the people's demands instead of narrow interests, affirming that leader Abdullah Ocalan has worked and continues to work for achieving Kurdish unity.

She emphasized that the current phase is not a phase of exchanging accusations, but a phase of building unity, affirming the rejection of any attempts to divide the Kurds, and pointing out that the Kurdish people are capable of organizing themselves and achieving their goals.

She added that Rojava, despite being the smallest part of Kurdistan, can lead the next phase toward achieving a broader Kurdish unity.

The role of women in achieving unity

Ahin Ali emphasized the pivotal role of Kurdish women in strengthening unity and maintaining social cohesion, pointing out the necessity of preserving the gains of the Rojava Revolution, known as the Women's Revolution. She said, "The unity of the ranks and the Kurdish people will start with women and will be achieved thru them."

She called on Kurdish women to develop democratic political work and organize their ranks, affirming that women are capable of bringing about change and leading the unity project.

She also pointed out that Kurdish women have proven their ability to lead political work, enabling them to play a major role in leading the Kurdish National Conference, as they did in the Qamishlo Conference (Conference of Kurdish Unity and Stance), due to their active participation and deep commitment to the cause.

She added that women bear two responsibilities: the Kurdish cause and the women's cause, which gives them a doubled role in building society.
She pointed out the prominent role of women in bridging the gaps between different parties and enhancing the spirit of solidarity thru women's organizations. She explained that these organizations can form an umbrella for women by organizing conferences and periodic meetings that focus on listening to their opinions and suggestions, which contributes to strengthening their active participation in political and social life.

She added that the representation of Syrian women is almost absent in the interim government, as clearly seen in what was called the "Victory Conference," pointing out that men cannot fully express women's issues or sufferings as women themselves do.

She affirmed that today's women's revolution is a rights-based and legal revolution, aiming to enshrine the rights of Syrian women in the new constitution of the country, after years of struggle.

At the end of her speech, Ahin Ali addressed a message to the Kurdish people, urging them to continuously work toward achieving unity and not to wait for crises to achieve it, affirming that: "The Kurdish existence and the resolution of the Kurdish issue cannot be achieved without unity."
