“Let them do whatever they want, they will not change truth at all”

The displaced people of Afrin stressed that they would not abandon the land of their ancestors, and pledged to liberate it from the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries by rallying around their military forces, stressing that the occupier’s presence so far in Afrin does not change the reality of the imminent return, “so that they can do whatever they want, they will not change the truth at all.”

The feelings of enthusiasm and determination among the forcibly displaced people of Afrin to liberate it from the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries grow stronger every day, especially with the annual Turkish attacks on the city starting every year, and they confirm that no matter how long the distance lasts, the return will inevitably come.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries began attacking Afrin on January 20, 2028, and ended with its occupation after 58 days of resistance by the People’s Protection Units and the Women’s Protection Units, during which the Turkish occupation army used all types of its advanced military arsenal.

Houria Sabri, a displaced woman from Afrin in Aleppo, stressed her commitment to the land: “Thanks to the blood of our martyrs, we will regain Afrin, and we are not afraid as long as we offer martyrs for its liberation. We will offer more of our children, and we refuse to abandon it to our enemies, and with our military forces, our old and young, we will defeat the occupier.”

Houria Sabri explained that Afrin is the land of her ancestors: “With the sweat of our brows and our hands we planted olive trees, and they are uprooting them from the roots. They are committing a crime against our sacred land. This land is ours. They can do whatever they want. They will not change the truth at all. Afrin is ours and it will remain ours. We will irrigate its land with blood and we will not We make the occupier feel happy

As for Rashid Rasho, who also emigrated from Afrin, he described Afrin for him as existence and identity, and said: “Afrin is our hometown that cannot be forgotten, and the olive trees represent peace. The occupation of Afrin for us is like death while we are alive, and in order to liberate it and return to it, we will do whatever is necessary.”

As for Nazilia Hassan Jaafar, she emphasized the retrun of Afrin, and said: “We want Afrin, and we will get it, and we will not go down as the occupier believes. We, the Kurds, hold our heads high, and until the last breath we will fight for our cause, and we will achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, by rising up and avenging our martyrs.”
