The Executive Council of KNK  issued a statement on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the conference. Which was established on the fourth, fifth and twenty-sixth of May 1999 in the city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The Executive Council of the Conference affirmed: “That day was a historic day, and it was the first time that such a large number of representatives of Kurdish parties, organizations, institutions, entities, and independent Kurdish personalities from all professions met and formed a national platform, this was the the first of its kind, so this day has become a sacred day.” The Executive Council explained: “The national unity of the Kurds has been the dream of poets, writers, workers, presidents and leaders, as the great poet and writer Ahmed Khani wrote this dream 330 years ago:

“If we had an alliance

We would form an empire

We completed our religion and our state

We gained knowledge and wisdom.”

Haji Kadir Koyi, referred to as Ahmed Khani II 140 years ago, continues as follows:

“Let's make an alliance

It is an inevitable condition

"It is a state represents a complete alliance."

The Council noted that a quarter of a century has passed since the founding of the Kurdistan National Congress, and it will increase its efforts to unify and strengthen Kurdistan diplomacy.

The Congress will attempt to gather and strengthen all the Kurdistan Defense Forces under one coordination to achieve victory for the Kurdistan Revolution in all parts.

It noted: “In its twenty-fifth year, and in light of Ahmed Khani’s philosophy, the Kurdistan National Congress once again calls on all the people of Kurdistan; it does not matter what your color is, what your strength is, what kind of belief and opinion you have to join the Kurdistan National Congress.”

The Council stated: “During these 25 years, some of the members and founders of the conference were martyred and some of them lost their lives. We remember all the martyrs of Kurdistan and all the members of the Kurdistan National Conference, who lost their lives in the person of Ismet Sharif Wanli, Ibrahim Ahmed and the martyr Deniz Bolbon and we bow in reverence for their memory.”

The Executive Council of the Kurdistan National Congress congratulated all the people of Kurdistan and friends of the Kurds on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan National Congress and wished them success.
