Homeland Party: Syrian-Syrian dialogue is only way to avoid external interventions

Amid the rapid developments on the Syrian scene, the need for comprehensive and sustainable solutions that put an end to the years-long crisis and guarantee the rights of all components living together on Syrian soil for thousands of years is growing. 

 In this context, the official spokesperson for the Syrian National Party, Mohamed Darwish, called for a negotiated solution to the Syrian crisis through Syrian-Syrian dialogue, away from violence and foreign interventions, to ensure the rights of all components and factions of the Syrian people.

 The necessity of dialogue and national understanding

 Mohammed Darwish explained that the current situation in Syria requires great responsibility from all parties, saying: "Our goal is for the Syrians to reach an inclusive dialogue that guarantees the rights of all components and factions of the Syrian people." The authoritarian regime that subjected Syrians to long suffering has fallen, leaving behind thousands of the missing, the forcibly disappeared, the detained, the martyrs, and the victims.

 Darwish emphasized that today, Syrians must unite their efforts to shape a new future for Syria, reflecting the sacrifices of its people and the hopes of future generations, stressing the importance of building a Syria that guarantees the rights of all its components and achieves justice and dignity for everyone.

 Regional and international initiatives

 Darwish commented on the recent Aqaba meeting, saying: "We always welcome regional and international initiatives aimed at achieving a sustainable solution to the Syrian crisis, provided that they guarantee the rights of all Syrians without marginalization or exclusion."

 He pointed out that the Syrian National Party supports any solution that renounces violence and promotes peace and stability in the country, calling for a comprehensive ceasefire across all of Syria and sitting at the dialogue table to achieve comprehensive consensus.

 The uniqueness of North and East Syria

 Darwish  spoke about the importance of considering the uniqueness of the regions in North and East Syria, saying: "These regions have a uniqueness that must be taken into account in any future solution." We support all solutions that ensure a safe and stable life for the new Syria, characterized by pluralism and democracy, where justice and dignity prevail.

 He added that the positive statements issued by some parties instill hope, but what is more important is that words are linked to actions to achieve tangible results on the ground.

Rejection of external agendas

 Mohammed Darwish affirmed his rejection of any external agendas that attempt to dismantle the social fabric or undermine the shared history of the Syrians. He said, "We support a negotiated solution away from violence, based on dialogue among the Syrians themselves, without external interventions that carry agendas seeking to dismantle the cohesive social fabric or erase the history of shared living."

 He called on the Syrians to strengthen their national unity, saying: "Our call to all Syrians is to remember that we are brothers, united by a common history despite our differing affiliations and orientations." This difference should be a source of strength to unite our ranks, not the opposite.

Beware of incitement speech through social media.

 And Darwish concluded his speech by warning Syrians against exploiting virtual communication platforms to spread discord and sectarianism, saying: "We must be cautious of attempts by certain entities through virtual communication platforms to incite sectarianism and discord among the components of the Syrian people." "National awareness is the first line of defense to protect the unity of society," and he emphasized the importance of strengthening social cohesion and joint efforts to achieve a democratic Syria that guarantees the rights of all and respects pluralism.
