Sheikh exposed to threats by ISIS mercenary in Turkish occupation ranks

The Turkish occupation and the National Army mercenaries continue to embrace ISIS mercenaries in the areas they occupy in northern Syria. The occupation has begun using these mercenaries to threaten the sheikhs and dignitaries of the Arab tribes who are striving to maintain the security and stability of the region and not to be drawn into the occupation's schemes aimed at pitting the region's peoples against each other. 

In this context, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Ali, one of the elders of the al-Sada al-Tufahiyeen tribe, revealed to ANHA's agency that he was previously targeted for assassination in 2017 by an explosive device planted by one of the ISIS mercenaries on the road to Tel Hamis, from which he miraculously survived.

Al-Ali added that he received new threats three days ago via voice messages on WhatsApp from a former ISIS mercenary who is now among the ranks of the Eastern Free Army, affiliated with the Turkish occupation in the occupied city of Ras al-Ain, named "Ali Al-Amin Al-Nasou."

This mercenary in the Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction was a leader among the ISIS mercenaries and was responsible for "explosives" for ISIS in the region during its occupation. Whose origin from the village of Balqis in the countryside of Tel Hamis.

According to information revealed by the locals, the mercenary al-Nasou was moving with the security officer in the ISIS mercenaries known as "Abu Walid" in the triangle of al-Hol, Markada, and al-Hasakah, located south of the city of al-Hasakah in the Jazira region. He became notorious for his horrific crimes against the citizens in the area before the ISIS mercenaries were expelled from the region.

In this context, the notable figure Mohammed Ahmed al-Ali confirmed that the mercenary "Ali Al-Amin al-Nasou," who threatened him and claimed responsibility for the assassination attempt against him in 2017, is currently working within the ranks of the "Ahrar al-Sharqiya" mercenaries affiliated with the "National Army" mercenaries in the occupied city of Ras al-Ain.

 Al-Ali pointed out that the mercenary al-Nasou sent him audio recordings in which he introduced himself as "Abu Dajana al-Sharabi" and confirmed his responsibility for the previous assassination attempt on him. In the recording, he threatened him by saying: "I sent you an explosive device before, but you survived." Now you have to defect and announce your cooperation with us, or else I will slaughter you.

Al-Ali added that al-Nasou concluded the recording by revealing his real name, which confirms his identity.

And the notable Mohammed Ahmed al-Ali was able to retain the audio recordings and photos that the mercenary al-Nasou sent before he deleted them. This evidence proves that former ISIS mercenaries have become part of the National Army mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation, such as the Ahrar al-Sharqiya mercenaries, and continue to threaten tribal dignitaries.

Attempts to destabilize the region

The Turkish occupying state, through its mercenaries from ISIS and the National Army, seeks to target influential figures in North and East Syria by intimidating tribal leaders and pushing them to abandon their national stances rejecting the Turkish occupation and its attempts to create an Arab-Kurdish strife.

The notable figure, Mohammad Ahmad al-Ali, who rejected the threats and affirmed his continued efforts to maintain the region's security, called on the international community and human rights organizations to pay attention to the danger posed by the National Army mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation, as they harbor dozens of ISIS mercenaries within their ranks.

 The threats faced by tribal leaders in North and East Syria highlight the Turkish occupation's involvement in supporting ISIS mercenaries, which poses a significant danger to civil peace and stability in the region. The international community is called upon to conduct an urgent investigation and put an end to the Turkish occupation's support for ISIS mercenaries.
