The representative of the Yazidi Union of Syria, Ziad Rustem, called for the constitutional recognition of Yazidi rights and official acknowledgment of their religion. Women activists from the city of Al-Darbasiyah confirmed that the regions of Rojava are going through a sensitive and critical phase amid escalating attacks, political and military pressures, and attempts to sow discord among the region’s components. In recent days, al-Hol Camp was emptied by factions of the Syrian Interim Government and their foreign elements, leading to the spread of ISIS mercenaries and members of their families within Syrian society, which is already suffering from chaos and poverty. This opens the door to the potential resurgence of ISIS across Syrian geography.
