Damascus forces shoot down 33 drones of HTS since Jan.
The intensity of mutual attacks between Damascus forces on one side and Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries on the other has escalated significantly in northwestern Syria, since the beginning of this year 2024.
Since the beginning of this year, Damascus forces have shot down, 5 times, 33 drones launched by both the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” mercenaries and the “Al-Fath al-Mubin” mercenaries, as part of the drone war between the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” mercenaries on the one hand, and the Damascus forces on the other hand, according to the SOHR.
In contrast to this, the Damascus forces have also relied on the tactic of drone warfare in a remarkable manner since the beginning of the year to target the areas occupied by the mercenaries of the “Tahrir al-Hayat.” These areas were attacked by 48 suicide drones launched by the Damascus forces in batches since late January of the year.
