U.S. officials explained that Trump wants an agreement to end the conflict, but “Iran’s rejection of many of his demands and its refusal to offer meaningful concessions on its nuclear program have brought the military option back into consideration.”

Trump is expected to hold a meeting in the Situation Room with senior national security officials on Tuesday to discuss military action options, according to two U.S. officials.

In a phone call with Axios, Trump said that “time is running out” for Iran, warning that if the Iranian regime does not present a better offer for an agreement, “it will face a much stronger strike.”

Earlier on Sunday, Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social: “Time is running out for Iran and they must move quickly, otherwise there will be nothing left for them. Time is of the essence.”
