15 September, 2014 the ISIS launched a major attack against Kobani from three axes, after 134 days of the historical resistance by the People's and Women Protection Units, which managed to defeat ISIS and the liberation of the city on January 26, 2015.
Turkey and its mercenaries are still pouring down on the city and its countryside, while the Turkish officials have considered more than one occasion that they are in light of preparations to launch land attacks on Kobani.
ANHA Agency met the joint head of the Euphrates Canton Council, Farhan Hajj Issa, who talked about the resistance of Kobani and the defeat of ISIS during his remain in the city.
Hajj Issa says: “Kobani's resistance had a great global resonance due to the will of the Kurds which attracted the attention of the regional and international media, the popular resistance forced the world to respect it, everything stems from the will that was shown in Kobani, using light weapons, our people managed to stand in the face of this attack, which was aimed at exterminating the Kurdish people with help a number of regional countries, led by Turkey."
Hajj Issa adds: “On the other hand, Kobani turned into a mini -Kurdistan, including fighters answered leader Ocalan's call to defend the city. Kobani formed a unified front for the revolutionaries who came from different countries of the world to fight injustice, tyranny and brutality by ISIS and the Turkish state.
He made the point clear that "Turkish fascism still sees that Kobani is the spear of the Kurdish issue that must be broken, all attempts by ISIS and Turkey to control the city of Kobani have failed, so the Turkish state is now resorting to bombing cities, civilians and energy sources."
"Turkey creates a safe environment for ISIS in occupied areas"
He explained that "creating a safe environment for the leaders of ISIS mercenaries in the occupied areas is nothing but clear evidence of the Turkish support for these mercenaries, for example the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Ibrahim al-Qurashi in the occupied areas is nothing but clear evidence of ISIS's effectiveness in those areas under different names, including the National Army and other names. What is called today the "clan attack" in Deir ez-Zor is also part of this plan with intelligence coordination between the Damascus government and Ankara."
Hajj Issa concluded his speech by saying, "It is time to consider the Turkish state a source of evil in the Middle East. I believe that the next stage will witness Turkish escalation against the region.
