YNK's Shanaz Ibrahim: attention of world directed to Qamishlo

Shanaz Ibrahim posted on her official Facebook page a written statement regarding her non-attendance at the international forum on the Treaty of Lausanne.

Shanaz Ibrahim strongly criticized the government of Başûr Kurdistan for not allowing the participants from Başûr to attend the forum, and said: "The Kurdistan Regional Government is no longer satisfied with distancing itself from historical issues related to the Kurds and Kurdistan only, but has also reached a level where it does not allow guests who are supposed to come from Başûr Kurdistan to participate in the International Forum on Lausanne, which is being held in Rojava Kurdistan."

Shanaz explained, "On the centenary of the Treaty of Lausanne, the Kurdistan Regional Government should have held a conference about it in Hewler, due to its historical and moral responsibility towards Kurdistan and its desire to hold important conferences and forums."

Shanaz referred to the attention of the whole world directed to Qamishlo on the centenary of the Treaty of Lausanne and said: "I really wonder, did the Kurdistan Regional Government leave the national issue also to the private sector and companies? Or did it hand over the issue of Kurdish patriotism to this and that? The attention of the whole world is now directed on the anniversary the centenary of Lausanne towards Qamishlo, the closure of the Semalka crossing in front of visitors wishing to participate in the forum held on Lausanne, from Başûr Kurdistan, and taking into account the reality and suffering of the Kurds, is the greatest irresponsibility of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Shanaz commented on preventing the arrival of delegations and humanitarian aid to Rojava, saying: "It is very shameful that the Kurdistan region cannot or dares to send a truck loaded with infant formula or a delegation from its lands and through a crossing under its control to Rojava Kurdistan.

Shanaz concluded her speech by saying, if the practical practices of the government (the government of Başûr Kurdistan) are like this, then "Ey Reqîb" will definitely remain just a slogan.
