Kurdistan National Conference congratulates workers on their holiday

The Executive Council of the Kurdistan National Conference issued a statement, on the occasion of May 1, International Labors’ Day, stating: "The workers and toilers made the first of May a Day of unity, struggle, and support, with their resistance, struggle, hard work and toiling, and this holiday is celebrated today in all  around the world, and we congratulate the International Labors’ Day (the first of May) on the workers and toilers of Kurdistan and the whole world.

The statement added: “The first of May is a blessed day for the Kurdish people,  because they have been striving for freedom, liberation, and a happy and dignified life for hundreds of years, This struggle in itself is a great and precious toil. Therefore, the Kurdistanis are the toilers and the workers of freedom and liberation; for this reason, the people of Kurdistan also deserve to celebrate the first of May, with this great struggl, so they must be blessed as well, just as we congratulate the first of May for Guerrilla, the Peshmerga and the great Kurdistan issue  and those who sacrificed their lives and and the workers and toilers.

And added, "We are welcoming May 1st this year in a difficult phase, as repressive attacks and plans against the Kurdish people continue in the four parts of Kurdistan, and the enemies' projects are huge, and the gains and achievements of the Kurdish people are all facing a great danger, so all Kurdish forces must develop their unity and take a stand in the face of these repressive schemes."

and noted: "Now there are elections on the agenda of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan. The Kurdish people also cooperate with their friends and put together a list and participate in the elections. These elections are very important. There is a strong wave of change throughout the country, and the purpose of the Kurdistan Alliance in these elections is to defeat the fascism regime that seeks always for war , and sending a large number of its deputies to parliament- we, as the National Conference  of Kurdistan, support the Kurdistan list (the Peoples' Democratic Party - the left Green Party), and we call on our people to go  to the ballot boxes and take these elections as an opportunity to achieve freedom for the sake of oppressed and toiling people.

All Kurdish forces must confront the attack and occupation plans

The statement stressed: "All Kurdish forces must confront the attack and the occupation plans," calling on "all the Kurdish people to participate in the activities of International Labors’ Day (May 1) in all regions, and to rise up against the attacks and occupation during their participation, and to express their rejection and dissatisfaction with the occupation and take action and a place  alongside with Kurdistan Defense Forces."

And the statement congratulated  the first of May (International Labor Day) on the peoples of Kurdistan and all the people of the world."
