​​​​​​​HPG: Turkish army withdraws from some areas of Zap

HPG's Media Center issued a statement regarding the withdrawal of the Turkish occupation army from areas in Zap Mountains.

At the beginning of the statement:

"The Turkish occupation army has launched an air attack since April 14, 2022, and a ground attack since April 17, on the regions of Zap, Avaşîn, and Matina, with the aim of occupying the legitimate defense zones. Whereas the Guerrillas show heroic epics, and fought with professional and creative means through war tunnels."

The statement pointed that the Turkish occupation army used, within eight months, all military techniques with the aim of controlling the region, however its attempts failed, and received fatal blows at the hands of the Guerrilla.

It added: " During the recent revolutionary campaign on November 25 in Girê Judy, and on November 26 in the regions of Girê Hakari, the occupation army received painful blows that shook the pillars of the regime of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party. Where the occupation army suffered heavy losses.

The statement also stated: “On December 5, a number of officers in the fields of resistance in Saja were held accountable, forcing them to withdraw from the peaks of Mount Guri Jahro and the village of Saja of the Diza Castle district in Amadiya, as well as the hill of the martyr Sinan, the valley of the martyr Kongi, and the rest of the areas of Zap.

The Turkish army, on the orders of Halusi Akar, burned the bodies of its soldiers in the areas of Girê Judy. On the 11th and 12th of December, the Turkish occupation army withdrew from the hills and areas of Girê Judy, the martyr Kendal, the martyr Shilan, the martyr Chekdar, the martyr Bakhtiyar, the martyr Savushka and the martyr Lashkar, after suffering painful blows by the guerrillas.

The Turkish occupation army advanced to Girê Judy, and brought many equipment to this area via helicopters, due to resistance of Guerrilla the occupation burned many of its equipment, and threw some of it from high areas, while leaving behind many equipment after it fled from the area.

At the present time, the Turkish occupation army withdrew from the village of Saja and its surroundings, east of Zap, as well as the vicinity of FM Hill in Hakari, west of the Zap Mountains.

The Turkish army certainly did not withdraw at its own will, but painful blows at the hands of the Guerrilla. The Commander-in-Chief of People's Defense Headquarters had said in a previous statement, 'They will withdraw and go, or they will die' .

The regime of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party, led by Erdogan and Halusi Akar, over the course of 8 months, involved Turkish soldiers in this war, which led to the death of 2,700 of them.

These historical results show the power of the forces of freedom Guerrillas in Kurdistan, and evidence of the defeat of the Turkish army, and at the same time, it is consistent evidence of the internal defeat of the Turkish state.
