Kalkan: PKK spreads, no one can stop it

* I have made assessments in the field of culture and art. I would like to ask the same question to the media. How was the situation of the Kurds fifty years ago in this field, what did they create themselves, and what is the level of impact of that?

There are exemplary names in the field of media and journalism, for example, the Kurdish scholar Musa Antar, and it is clear what they did in light of the difficulties.

The education and training system in the hands of the extermination and occupation regime which made education as an institution for smelting and extermination.

The most successful activity of the PKK in its 50-year struggle is training.

So when Leader Ocalan was asked, What is your biggest weapon, he said : Science, as the PKK used many propaganda methods from the beginning, which appeared with word of mouth propaganda, and for security reasons, it was not possible to immediately disclose the material in that case. After the oral propaganda, the written stage began, and then the weapons training stared.

Weapons have become one of the simplest training tools within the PKK. The party has trained guerrillas, women, youth and society. Armed propaganda was also widely used between the years 78-86, and the media publishing houses appeared mostly after 1990, and the first magazine in the field of journalism is Serxwebûn. later on, their written work was developed throughout Europe from 1982 onwards, and has been published every month for the past 40 years to the present day, moreover it has published books and magazines, and with 1995, has been developing In the 1990s, television and radio broadcasting moved to Turkey and Kurdistan, and newspapers such as Ozgur Gundem, Vejîna Civakî and Gelê Azad appeared in Istanbul, and developed in southern and eastern Kurdistan and Rojava as well, after 1986.

Publishing in Arabic began in Roj Ava, today it has become a very large group and has been published in many languages ​​at the written, visual and audio level in the four parts of Kurdistan and outside, all of them have an important effect, but armed propaganda has an effect as well, as the Guerrilla forces continue their training role, and it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of journalism and publishing in these The historical stage, when the PKK appeared for the first time, it did not have any materials, it was carrying out verbal propaganda.

We must protect our identity and independence in the field of media and publishing

The armed propaganda was very effective because the PKK used this weapon in the right place and in a meaningful way.

The role of the guerrilla fighters was very strong and educational, as well as the press, where it has a level now, but its strength does not come from material abundance, but from the expression of facts. Powerful because it does not have any lies or interest, and the media and publications reveal all the lies and deceit of the private war regime waged by the other side, it is the duty of the press to expose the tricks and lies of the private war system. It is a great battlefield.

On the other hand, it also has an educational and training role, and it has a role in educating the Kurdish community, women, Kurdish youth and the oppressed.

The media is responsible for conveying the facts that have emerged in Kurdistan to all humanity. It is a large and important field of work. We must see the fact that our media are different. About others, there are shortcomings, I must say this as criticism, that they do not know their goal, they do not have complete control over their role, therefore they do not have information on how to achieve them, and imitation of others is too much, no one did verbal propaganda, only the PKK.

We have to protect our identity and our independence

Leader Ocalan and the PKK are not like anyone else. We must protect our identity and independence in the media and publishing. We are the voice of the freedom movement. We build a free society,  woman, and a free individual. We fight against private war. The field of media and publishing was called the fourth force, but now it is the first one, because everything reaches society through the media, so we must bring our media to such a level, we must make our propaganda more effective through the media.
