Israeli raids on sites in the vicinity of Damascus
A military source told an agency affiliated to Damascus government that at about 00.30 am on Thursday, Israeli raids targeted some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus.
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Israeli strikes in the latest targeting targeted weapons and ammunition depots and headquarters of groups affiliated with Iran in the vicinity of Damascus International Airport area a few kilometers away, where the number of strikes reached 6.
4 of these strikes targeted positions of Iranian groups and Lebanese Hezballah within area west of Damascus airport, and 2 southwest of the airport.
The 28th targeting since the beginning of the year and the third in less than a week has killed 4 Lebanese Hezballah workers, including at least 1 Syrian, as well as destroyed weapons and ammunition depots belonging to Iranian groups.
According to the Observatory, Israeli missile and air strikes have since the beginning of the year resulted in the injury and destruction of about 81 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers and vehicles.
The strikes killed 62 soldiers and wounded 75 others.
The targets were as follows: 17 targeted Damascus and its countryside, 5 for Qunaytra, 3 for Hama, 2 for Tartus, and 2 for Aleppo.
