Yazidis: Election Sheikh Samir Darwish guarantees future of the Yazidis

 It is scheduled to take place on the 10th of this October, the Iraqi parliamentary elections, to elect the Iraqi Council of Representatives.

 The Yazidis are participating in the elections through the Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party candidate, Sheikh Samir Darwish, who presented his electoral program to ensure the rights of the Yazidi community and administration .

 In northeast Syria, the Yazidis expressed their support for the will of the Yazidis in Iraq, and affirmed their confidence that the Yazidi community in Iraq has reached a high level of awareness to choose a better future for them.

 Yezidi of Tirbespiyê district in Qamishlo canton, al-Jazera region, say that the policy of the successive regimes in Iraq deprived the Yezidis of their will and actual representation to guarantees their rights.

 They supported the Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party candidate, and emphasized that it is capable of serving the Yazidi community.

 The Yazidis must support their representatives

 Barzan Selo indicated in an interview with our agency, that the Yazidi community has suffered throughout its long history of massacres, the most recent of which was in 2014 during the attack of ISIS mercenaries, killing thousands of Yazidis and kidnapping women and children.

 Selo continued, "The Yazidis must support those who represent them, protect their will, and guarantee them a better future."

 "We must all support those who serve us, the Yazidis, wherever they are," he said.

 The voice of the Yazidis and Sheikh Samir in response to all the massacres

 Barzan Selo added that Sheikh Samir's victory through the Yazidis' vote for him, and his access to the parliament dome, will be the biggest response to the massacres and revenge for the kidnapped women.

 He called on the Yazidis in Iraq to go to express their will.

 For his part, Yazidi, Walat Zardashti from Afrin canton said that politics in Iraq has marginalized the Yazidis, and these elections will determine the future of Shingal.

 'We have to organize ourselves and conduct our own policy to achieve a better future'

 Zardashti said that the experiences of the Yazidis were many, and that everyone always got their vote and did not change anything from their reality, and did not fulfill their promises to them.

 "We, the Yazidis, have to organize ourselves to protect our community and know who can represent us," he added.

 'We are proud of the organization the Yazidis have reached in Shingal'

Zardashti said, "We Yazidis in Rojava are proud when we see the organization that the Yazidis have reached in Shingal, but this calls for more awareness and organization in all aspects, and the protection of the gains made over the past years."

 He concluded his speech, "There are many other candidates and everyone promises to help and provide a better future for the Yazidis, but here we must know who is right about them, and the promises must be implemented on the ground."
