Kurdish Red Crescent:  4th wave of COVID 19 affects all age groups

Earlier, medical authorities warned that the fourth coronavirus wave had swept North and East Syria after spreading to neighbouring countries.

ANHA held an interview with the Administrator in the Kurdish Red Crescent Operations Room, Shindar Loqo, explaining that the past three months had seen a decline in casualties, but added: "Since late last July, infections have been on the rise."

The wave affected all age groups, including children. "The virus affects children with diabetes and cancer in particular."

The number of people infected with the fourth wave virus from COVID 19 who had been taken to hospitals had reached 23 infected till 23^rd August, adding" At this time no infected person had died; most of them are recovering, but each infected person can transmit the infection to 60 people.
