Mazloum Omar considers opening AANES' representation in Geneva an essential achievement

Co-chair of the Executive Council in Tabqa, Mazloum Omar, considered the opening of a representation of the Autonomous Administration in Switzerland an "important achievement at the international level," explaining that the representation will play the role of mediator in efforts to solve the Syrian crisis.

On the 9th of this month, the Autonomous Administration opened a representation office in the Swiss capital, Geneva, stressing in a statement that the goal of the representation is to strengthen relations between the peoples of north and east Syria and Switzerland, the government and people.

In this regard, Mazloum Omar spoke to ANHA agency, the co-chair of the Executive Council of Tabqa, and considered that "the opening of representations of the Autonomous Administration in European countries, and recently in Switzerland, is one of the most important achievements of the administration at the international political level" in the recent period.

Mazloum Omar stated that the beginning of these successes was the defeat of ISIS mercenaries at the hands of the Syrian Democratic Forces with the support of the Global Coalition to defeat ISIS, and the formation of councils and civil administrations that joined the Autonomous Administration project, indicating that this project runs all regions of north and east Syria in a democratic, civilized and advanced manner.

Co-chair of the Executive Council in Tabqa explained that "the representation of the Autonomous Administration in Geneva, Switzerland, will be a link between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, civil society organizations and political figures, in addition to many currents, parties and movements supporting democratic thought, which seek to find solutions to the crisis in Syria.

Mazloum Omar stressed that "the opening of the representation in Switzerland took place in a legitimate and agreed manner, and there will be coordination and diplomatic relations with the Swiss Government and with the political authorities in the Swiss Confederation."

And he indicated that "the international political relations of the Autonomous Administration were not limited to the opening of representations for it in European countries, but rather developed into holding high-level meetings, the last of which was a meeting of a delegation from the Autonomous Administration with French President Emmanuel Macron on July 19^th, which confirmed his country's support for the Autonomous Administration." Ans his continued pressure on the international community to make the Autonomous Administration an essential part of resolving the Syrian crisis."

Omar renewed his talk about efforts of the Syrian Democratic Council, SDC, by saying:" The development of diplomatic relations in favor of the Autonomous Administration with the major countries, successes and political developments due to the efforts made by the members of the Syrian Democratic Council who strive for international recognition of this democratic project, which has proven its worth on the ground. Reality".

At the end of his speech, Mazloum Omar called on the rest of the countries and governments that support free opinion and the democratic trend to follow the example of the countries that have opened representations of the Autonomous Administration in them, so that there is a link between the Autonomous Administration and those governments, and the involvement of the Syrian Democratic Council in any negotiations and dialogues aimed at getting out of the Syrian crisis."
