Doran Kalkan: Era of state centralization and direct domination is over

On the occasion of the 37^th anniversary of the August 15^th Leap, Member of the Executive Committee of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Doran Kalkan, wrote in an article on the official website of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

In his article, Kalkan said, "First of all, I congratulate all comrades, especially Leader Abdullah Ocalan on the occasion of the Resurrection Day in the 15^th of August, with all my best wishes for their health and wellness. I salute all our comrades who resist the enemy's brutality on the basis of "It is time for freedom", I also salute all those who resist the enemy's relentless attacks.

The current era is the era of peoples, as well as the era of guerrillas. The time of the state centralization and its direct domination, as well as the agent forces that collude with Turkey is over.

Every war and every victory must have a price

In his article, Kalkan stressed that victory is much closer than ever, stressing that revolution and freedom require sacrifices, and that in the Freedom Movement they are ready to make all sacrifices in order to achieve victory and freedom for the Kurdish people, but Kurds and their guerrillas sacrifice in all fields, and all these sacrifices are made in order to achieve great achievements and developments, and none of the forms of resistance and sacrifices are wasted in vain; rather, they are sacrifices that lead to victory.

The point that Leader Abdullah Ocalan criticizes and regrets about is that if we were more careful and cautious, more aware, disciplined, organized and planned, and thought better about the military and political affairs that we carry out, and were more ideologically and organizationally deeper, these costs could be reduced to less than half. There is no doubt that there is no war without sacrifices, but we have suffered from the failure to make the least losses and sacrifices in order to achieve greater gains and achievements. Also, Leader Abdullah Ocalan does not categorically mean "why do we fight and why do we offer all these sacrifices and heroisms", but rather appreciates and glorifies them because he himself made them.

All the results that emerged with the leadership were the product of the great struggle waged by the Guerrilla, and among these results: "the transformation of the petrified Kurd into a free Kurd." The leader clearly defined this fact when we see how women, youth and society reached the level of freedom, as we witnessed great personal revolutions, mental and conscientious revolutions, and now everyone is discussing the strength of Leader Abdullah Ocalan's ideas and trying to figure out how to understand this thought and the extent of its impact on the individual and society in order to bring about great changes and transformations.

Everyone used to say, "Kurd is finished, is dead." The Turkish state used to say, "I buried Kurds and built them with concrete!" But today Kurds have become a community born anew through the smashing of concrete. The Kurdish society has recreated itself with the revolution of freedom. These are developments in close contact with the armed struggle of forty years ago.

The era of Guerrilla will begin all over the world

Commander of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) Doran Kalkan noted that the Kurdistan Guerrilla has played a historic role in fighting all the enemies of peoples, and has set a great example for all movements of the world and its peoples to emulate the Guerrilla war as an ideal means of self-defense against attacks targeting their existence, and that regime armies do not seek to protect the people, but rather they are tools to protect power.

He added, "However, even these armies could not protect and defend their owners; He said: The armed resistance in Kurdistan played the role assigned to it and produced important results. The question is can the fighters do more? The answer is Yes, as Leader Abdullah Ocalan clarifies this issue when he said, "If the resistance approach is insisted upon with continued courage and self-sacrifice, and the Guerrilla war proceeds on this approach, developments that go far beyond the ideological, social, political and military developments can occur.

As the leader also said: "This is only the beginning, consider the coming days." So if the Guerrilla struggle continues on this heroic and resistant approach through the deepening of the self-sacrifice approach, results will appear that far exceed those developments that have occurred so far. The struggle for freedom in Kurdistan will have a greater impact on the Middle East and the whole world, and the era of Guerrilla will begin all over the world, and everyone will take the Guerrilla war as the basis for the right of self-defense since regular armies can no longer defend and protect anyone, these armies have truly collapsed and can no longer defend even their masters. These forces (armies - the state) appeared as historical deviations, and they became effectively anti-social formations.

Now, the era of reforming this begins. Their destruction came as a result of the struggles of the peoples, especially the people of Kurdistan on the basis of the armed resistance waged by the Guerilla forces. Some may ask, "Aren't you overestimating that?" But the truth is that it is not only Turkey, Syria, Iraq or Iran that divided Kurdistan and imposed denial and genocide on the Kurdish people, but behind them were all the rulers of the world, as France and Britain divided Kurdistan with this existing model, with Russian approval, just as America is leading this system of extermination.

 Therefore, our war that we are waging is not only with the Turkish army, but with the existing forces and colonizers of the land and people of Kurdistan, but with all the forces that stand behind them, they allied and launched attacks targeting the Freedom Movement, and their attacks reached their climax with the international conspiracy that was hatched against Leader Abdullah Ocalan. We, in turn, have resisted in the face of the comprehensive attacks targeting our people and our movement, and we have fought all the forces of global reaction, and therefore all the results emerging today concern and affect the whole world, and the system of capitalist modernity that dissolves in such a war is the ruling state system.
