The Kurdistan Freedom Movement issued a statement today regarding the alleged meetings in Imrali, which circulated through digital media. The statement said:

“Notes concerning meetings allegedly held on different dates in Imrali were circulated through the media. These published texts contain numerous false and fabricated statements, indicating that they were deliberately and intentionally prepared.

It is noteworthy and deliberate that these notes concerning the meetings were circulated and published through digital media on August 10, the day the law was enacted, as well as afterward. During the days when the August 10 law was being discussed following its passage in Parliament, circles opposed to peace and democratic society used various dirty methods and means. In this context, it is understood that these texts were deliberately prepared for specific purposes, and their publication through digital media and turning them into a subject of discussion constitutes a planned provocation targeting the peace process and democratic society.

Meetings held with leader Apo in Imrali are announced to the press and the public by the DEM Party delegation. Therefore, no one should believe any information or assessments that have not been announced or verified by the DEM Party delegation. In this context, the DEM Party delegation has already issued a statement regarding the alleged meetings.

Our people and the democratic public should obtain all information concerning our liberation movement from statements and assessments issued by the movement’s administration. Everyone should approach with caution and skepticism any information that has not been issued by our administration. Our movement’s assessments on many issues are published through transparent sources. As for the fake meeting notes circulating through digital media, they were prepared by forces hostile to leader Apo and the Kurdistan Freedom Movement. Therefore, no one should believe them.”
