Rep of Yekiti Party: Political parties in Southern Kurdistan must not follow the illusions of Kurds' enemies

Representative of the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria (Yekiti) in al-Shahba canton Qahraman Hassen called on the political parties in Başûr Kurdistan (Southern Kurdistan) not to be drawn into the Turkish occupation's illusions, while describing the statements of a leader in the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) as "high treason towards Kurds."

Since more than three months, the Turkish occupation state has been escalating its attacks on Başûr (Southern Kurdistan) and the legitimate defense zones (Media), in conjunction with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK), while continuing its attacks on the other parts of Kurdistan, especially in Rojava.

Within the framework of a series of Turkish occupation attacks on the areas of Kurdistan, Leader of the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) Abdel Hakim Bashar and formerly deputy head of the so-called Syrian opposition coalition tried to cover up the crimes and violations of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenary gangs in occupied Afrin which came after the statements of its leader Nasr Hariri on the 14^th of June, calling for Turkey to occupy more Syrian lands.

In a statement to ANHA agency, Representative of the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria "Yekiti" Qahraman Hassen denounced the recent statements of the Kurdish National Council's commands, describing them as "a service to the agendas of Kurds' enemies and a betrayal of the Kurdish people."

In his speech, Qahraman Hassen said that the aim of the Turkish occupation is to practice the most heinous crimes and violations against Afrin people; killing, kidnapping and cutting down trees, exterminating Kurds and changing the demographics of occupied Afrin in the first place.

Hassen continued by saying that the occupation went beyond all international laws issued by human rights and international organizations through its crimes against the indigenous people of Afrin.

Hassen drew attention to the reports issued by human rights, international and media organizations, and said, "Some Kurdish figures represented by the approach of the Turkish occupation state and the opposition coalition deny all these reports and legitimize the occupation in Afrin, such as Abdel Hakim Bashar, Abdullah Keddo and Ibrahim Berro."

Hassen added, "These personalities, such as Abdel Hakim Bashar who claim to preserve the Kurds' rights cannot make a speech or statement on their own except by a direct order from the Turkish state and its mercenaries."

With regard to the Turkish occupation's attacks on the region, Representative of the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria, Qahraman Hassen, explained that the occupation's attacks continue on our areas on an almost daily basis and in the places of our displacement, in addition to the length of the contact lines with Turkey, especially in the legitimate defense zones.

Hassen denounced the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party with the Turkish occupation in its aggression against Kurdistan, calling on the political movements in Southern Kurdistan not to be drawn into the illusions of the Turkish occupation, and not to participate with it in eradicating Kurds.

Qahraman Hassen concluded his speech by saying that the Kurdish political forces in Southern Kurdistan should sit at the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue table, consolidate the Kurdish rank, and introduce the reality of the Kurdish people's numbers to the people in Başûr, in order to preserve the Kurdish people's gains in the four parts of Kurdistan.
