​​​​​​​Azzam: Istanbul-based coalition, its terrorist factions turn into mercenaries to achieve Turkish ambitions

The so-called Syrian coalition continues its role, working for Turkey and making pretexts for it by occupying many Syrian regions.

A few days ago, after the bombing that targeted civilians in Afrin, Nasr al-Hariri, the head of the so-called coalition, called on the Turkish state to occupy new Syrian areas.

In response, the Syrian Democratic Council issued a statement in which it said: "The criminals of the coalition worked at all levels of decadence, and expressed their bankruptcy with great rudeness as the meeting between Biden - Erdogan approached, and they began to offend the project by tampering with the security of civilians, as their crime came this time by targeting a hospital. In Afrin and the massacre of innocent civilians, and the accusation against the SDF in conjunction with the coalition representatives’ demands for their masters to occupy more Syrian lands, the performance was ridiculous within a weak play and a fragile plan that did not deceive anyone.

'It is not new call'

In this context, the Syrian dissident and coordinator of the Secular Syrian Democratic Gathering in As-Suwayda, Samir Azzam, said: “The Istanbul coalition’s call for the Turkish enemy to occupy more Syrian lands is not new and falls within the core of the Brotherhood’s belief in the Islamic caliphate, which considers the homeland, citizenship and the brotherhood of the homeland as blasphemy, and the Islamists have applied this during the years of war in the Caliphate and the Islamic Emirates in all the areas they controlled."

He explained that "because of their takfiri creed, they fought each other over stolen goods in all the areas. They continued their fight with the religiously and ethnically different in the occupied areas of the Turkish enemy, to which they sought refuge after the fall of their Islamic caliphate, ISIS in the regions of northeast Syria and the overthrow of their Islamic emirates in Ghouta Damascus, Qalamoun, Homs and Daraa ".

'Fateful danger to Syria'  

Azzam warned of this, saying: "The Islamic terrorist factions are mercenaries of the National enemy of Syria. The head of the Turkish Turani entity, Recep Erdogan, is still a fateful threat to Syria's land and people."

On ways to confront this, Azzam said: " to confront this fateful danger is to converge on a national, secular, democratic Syrian political project that includes all Syrians and from all Syrian regions, to constitute an antithesis to the project of Astana's parties and its poorly mentioned bargains and results, which satisfies the majority of Syrians and has the approval of the international community."

'Accusing the SDF of bombing Afrin hospital is baseless'

Regarding bombing Afrin hospital, Azzam said: "The Istanbul coalition's accusation of the Syrian Democratic Forces of bombing a hospital in occupied Afrin is baseless and absolutely baseless. Since the establishment of the SDF, it has made history that it bombed a hospital or a displacement camp."

He explained that "the bombing of hospitals and displacement camps is a heinous and disgraceful crime committed only by those with a history of committing such crimes."

Who bombed Afrin hospital, for what?

Azzam added: "Two parties have been committing these crimes during the Syrian war. The first is the Islamist factions and their Turkish operator. Those who targeted hospitals in Aleppo, Jisr al-Shughur and al-Qusayr, when they were unable to destroy them with bombing, they dig tunnels underground to reach the bottom of the hospitals to detonate them. Russian warplanes bombarded dozens of hospitals in Idlib and the countryside of Aleppo.

Azzam stressed that "the government of the ruling Brotherhood's Justice and Development Party and its head, Recep Erdogan, has always fabricated lies and flimsy pretexts for the occupation of Syrian lands. What the former Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoglu revealed after his resignation about plans prepared by Erdogan and the Turkish intelligence service to direct bombing from inside northern Syria to Turkish lands to be a pretext for the Turkish military intervention in northern Syria in 2013 is further evidence of the lies of the supreme leader of ISIS terrorists and its sisters.

'NATO has used Turkey and is not about to realize its dreams'

On the connection of this bombing to the NATO summit, Azzam said: "It is known that the alliance used Turkey geo-politics in the region during the Cold War era, and it was not about to realize the dreams and aspirations of the Turkish panorama, and the last meeting of the alliance in Brussels confirmed this, and Erdogan returned from Brussels disappointed."

'Mercenaries have no place in Syria's future'

At the conclusion of his speech, Samir Azzam said: "The Istanbul coalition and its terrorist factions have for years turned into mercenaries of the Turks, to achieve Turkish ambitions in the north of Syria, and they have become mercenaries in Libya, Azerbaijan, and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and their supreme leader, Recep Erdogan, plans to use them in Yemen and Kashmir, and therefore they have no place in a solution." The Syrian crisis, nor the future of Syria.
