The Source from the UN Security Council said to Russia's RIA Novosti agency that the United Nations Security Council will hold a closed-door meeting on October 19 on the Karabakh conflict.

According to the source in question, the meeting is held at the request of Russia, France, United States of America and the participant states in the presidency of the Minsk Group for the Security and Cooperation in Europe, the OSCE.

On September 27th, clashes erupted on the frontline between Azeri and the Armenian forces in the Karabakh district and the adjacent areas in the ever dangerous escalation between the two sides since 20 years amid Armenian accusations to Azerbaijan and Turkey of bringing in mercenaries from Syria and Libya to take part in the fighting on the side of the Azeri forces.
