HPG statement about the military operations in Haftanin

The People’s Protection Units (HPG) Media Center issued a statement about the operations carried out by their forces against the Turkish occupation army in Haftanin area.

The statement included:

"On June 17, our forces targeted the enemy units heading from Tel martyr Berivan to Tel martyr Dara, our forces directed strong strikes at the enemy units and cut the road in front of it. It was not confirmed the number of deaths and injuries of the Turkish occupation army, on the same day our forces targeted a Cobra helicopter, forcing it to leave the scene.

At 15:00 on June 20, our forces struck enemy units stationed on Tel Martyr Sipan. In this process, it was also not possible to know the number of dead and wounded people of the Turkish occupation army.

Between 22:30 and 23:30 on the same day, warplanes of the Turkish occupation army bombed Khantur Square and the Besakha valley. After the bombing, the helicopters tried to enter the area, but our forces directed strikes that forced them to retreat. When information about these events becomes available, we will make it public. "
