Darar: We seek to unite all Syrian democratic political forces

The Syrian National Assembly announced during its conference held in the Austrian capital Vienna yesterday, its accession to Syrian Democratic Council SDC in the presence of members of the Assembly and co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council Riyad Darar.

In this context, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Riyad Darar, said that the Syrian National Assembly is an extension of the Cordoba business group in 2013, and reached the formation of a political body for it in the name of the Syrian National Assembly in 2015.

Darar pointed out in a special statement to Hawar news agency ANHA that there are common features between the Syrian National Assembly and the Syrian Democratic Council in terms of looking after the components and caring for their role and rights in Syria.

He pointed out that the accession took place after a series of meetings and visits by members of the association to the regions of northern and eastern Syria, and informed of the experience applied in it, and added, "All members of the association have become part of the activities of the Syrian Democratic Council SDC."

Darar indicated that they are working to complete their project in inviting all the democratic national forces to join and ally themselves with their march in northern and eastern Syria, as the actions and activities of the National Assembly are concentrated in Damascus and Damascus countryside.

On the common goals between the two parties, Riyad Darar said that their goals are shared regarding gathering all democratic forces, in addition to their participation in the Preparatory Committee for the Democratic Forces Conference, and their call to form a Syrian platform to represent the Syrians without attaching to foreign agendas.

He added, there are several platforms such as the Cairo platform and the Moscow platform, and the coalition as the Turkish platform, most of which are linked to foreign agendas, but they are in the SDC working to form a Syrian platform without there being external loyalty to anyone."

Darar noted that their work will focus on the unity of Syria with the participation of all political forces in joint activities in order to confront the benefits and confront extremism and terrorism, to release detainees from all sides and work to confront tyranny and its regime in Syria, and the call for a democratic decentralization system through which all aspirations of the Syrian people are fulfilled.

In conclusion, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Riyad Darar, said that they are organizing joint activities and activities in Europe in the coming period.
