Aqila Saleh Turkish intervention in Libya complicated the crisis

Libyan Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh said that the Supreme Council of the State affiliated with Accord Government is benefiting from the status quo and its interest in continuing the crisis.

He continued, "The Russian-American dispute in Libya is not new, and we expect their interests to be achieved in a way that suits the interests of the Libyans."

He also clarified that the return of oil production is directly linked to the ceasefire, stressing, "There is no oil with artillery."

He pointed out that the Turkish intervention contributed to complicating the scene, pointing out that the withdrawal of the Libyan army came in the interest of the Libyans, and stressed that rejecting the Egyptian initiative will lead to the continuation of the military battles, and continued, "Everyone is losing and the army will respond to any threats."

In addition, he suggested that each of Libya's historical regions choose its representatives in the new political scene, and stressed that "there is no disagreement with the leadership of the army, and we all seek the same goal even if opinions differ on that."

The Libyan Parliament Speaker affirmed that there is a positive international interaction with the Cairo Peace Initiative in Libya.

It is reported that Egypt announced on Saturday a political initiative that would pave the way for a return to normal life in Libya, warning against sticking to the military option to resolve the crisis in Libya.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi indicated that the political solution is the only one to solve the Libyan crisis, and that Egypt's security is among the security and stability of Libya.
