KCK: KDP prepares to attack Qandil

The joint presidency of the leadership body of the Kurdistan Society System said in a statement about the tension in Zaina Warte: "The Turkish state bombed Makhmour camp in conjunction with bombing targeted the Guerrilla Forces in Zaina Warte where the Kurdistan Democratic Party Forces are stationed. The attack that was carried out with the aircrafts resulted in martyring 3 women and 3 Guerrilla fighters." 

Common scheme to empty Makhmour

The statement added: "The Turkish state targets Makhmour camp because its residents are loyal to the leader and to the PKK. The Kurdistan Democratic Party says that there is an effect of the PKK in Makhmour camp, and thus justifies the Turkish attacks. The Turkish state exploits these statements made by a Kurdish party to legitimize its attacks."

The statement continued: "Makhmour camp is related to the United Nations and located in the geography of Iraq and Kurdistan Region. The camp was subjected to many Turkish air strikes, but no position was issued by the United Nations, Iraq and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, while in the recent attack, the government of Iraq announced its position."

Turkish raid targets a Guerrilla unit based on intelligence information disclosed by the KDP Forces

"In Zaina Warte, where the Kurdistan Democratic Party establishes a headquarter for the Peshmerga Forces in order to encircle the Guerrilla Forces in Qandil, 3 fighters from the Guerrilla were martyred in an air attack, one of them was from East Kurdistan and another from the West, while the third martyr was from North Kurdistan. A unit composed of 3 fighters from the Guerrilla headed to a Peshmerga point and informed them that their staying in this area was wrong and asked them to leave. After the Guerrilla unit left the Peshmerga headquarter, the unit settled nearby, and a day after the unit left the Peshmerga headquarter, the unit's location came under Turkish air strikes. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of the three fighters. This attack was based on intelligence information. There are no civilians present in the point targeted, so it is clear that the Peshmerga headquarter disclosed the place where the Guerrilla unit is stationed."

The statement stressed that the KDP Forces would not have been stationed in Zaina Warte except for the presence of a plan to occupy Qandil, and considered that the withdrawal of those forces would serve the Kurdish people and their staying would only benefit the Turkish state.
