Demanding for Adana Agreement indicates Turkish political bankruptcy in area

According to experts familiar with the issues of the Syrian crisis and Adana Agreement, the Turkish research on the implementation of Adana Agreement signed illegally with the Syrian side in 1998 reflects the Turkish political bankruptcy in the area and the world.

The issue of re-applying Adana Agreement between Ankara and Damascus emerged after the Turkish President Recep Teyyip Erdogan's visit to the Russian capital Moscow a few days ago, and holding talks with the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Putin put forward the idea of re-applying Adana Agreement during the press conference that was held after the meeting of the two presidents, and that was as an indirect expression of Moscow's rejection of the buffer zone idea proposed by Washington that this zone would be 20 miles deep (32 kilometers) without giving further details about the forces that would supervise it or the way it would be managed.

Fayyad Shaheen, the director of the Martyr Jum'a al-Nazzal Academy made clear that Turkey is witnessing political bankruptcy in the area and the world after its unlimited support for IS and its practices in Afrin of real crimes that clarifies the Turkish fascist policies to everybody.

He added, "The agreement of Adana is dead since its birth and it is illegal. Turkey plays with illegal papers, and on the other hand, it wants to activate this agreement with the regime that it does not recognize. This is a real political bankruptcy."

Fayyad pointed to the awareness of our Kurdish people and all the components of the Turkish game and its political hypocrisy. Turkey wants to codify its crimes in the region through this agreement.

In turn, the expert in the Kurdish affair Jiyan Derwish said, "We reject the buffer zone under the supervision of Turkey which has been violating our safe borders by terrorism since the beginning of the crisis. The Western world must make a serious stand against this criminal behavior of Turkey in the north and east of Syria."

Jiyan Derwish mentioned the Turkish criminal policy in Afrin and other Syrian cities, and she continued her speech, "It killed, looted and burned for the sake of its hidden ambitions in the region in order to control the resources."

She concluded her speech saying, "Everyone feels safe, secure and stable in the north and east of Syria, and the world has to understand the reality of the Turkish policy in the area, and put an end to its irrational and inhuman behaviors."
